At St Michael’s Church we are lucky enough to have a Church Hall adjoining our lovely Church. The hall is used during and after services, for classes during the week and is available to hire. We are very lucky that we are able to have hall adjacent to St Michael’s Church, which is available to hire for parties and celebratory events, and also for regular weekly classes. Frequently Asked Questions:
How much does it cost to hire the Church Hall? The current rate for hire is £13 per hour. Please note that this is subject to an annual review each January.
How big is the Church Hall? The hall is not vast but could hold a gathering of approx 40 people (IF NO SOCIAL DISTANCING IS NEEDED). In terms of parties, we would suggest no more than 15 children if space is required for moving around.
Can I fit a bouncy Castle in the Hall? Unfortunately there is not sufficient space to accommodate a bouncy castle of any size.
What classes can I book the hall out for? The only classes we do not permit bookings for are for Yoga. We appreciate that there are many different types of yoga, however rather than study each individually for the level of religious meaning (which do not follow Christian teachings), we prefer to keep it fair so that there is no confusion. Should you be looking for a venue to teach Yoga we would suggest contacting the Cordes Hall (Sunninghill), Cheapside Village Hall, Sunningdale Village Hall or the Hall at Victory Fields, all of which have no religious links.
What facilities are available at the Hall? There is a small kitchen area with oven, kettles, dishwasher, microwave and toaster. There is one male and one female toilet, but no disabled toilet unfortunately. There are tables and collapsible chairs for use.
Can I hire the hall out at any time? Please bear in mind that the hall provides the only toilet facilities in the Church so should we have a funeral or a wedding we will let you know in advance. Sunday mornings are not available for hire.
