There is always lots happening at St Michael's, for young and old and everyone in between. The Archbishop of Canterbury has encouraged a prayer initiative for the last 3-4yrs in the 10 days between Ascension Day (30th May) and Pentecost (9th June) called Thy Kingdom Come (see www.thykingdomcome.global. The plan for this year is:
½ an hour of prayer on each of these days – different styles and different locations.
A prayer walk from All Souls’ to St Michael’s on Sat 8th.
½ hour prayer slots will take place:
Thurs 30th – 6am at St Michaels – the Ascension breakfast.
Or 8pm at All Saints – a joint Eucharist.
Fri 31st – 9am at All Souls’.
Sat 1st – 12pm at St Michael’s.
Sun 2nd – as part of our Sunday worship.
Mon 3rd – 9am at All Souls’.
Tues 4th – 12pm at All Souls’.
Wed 5th – 3pm at St Michael’s.
Thurs 6th – 9pm at All Souls’.
Fri 7th – 9am at All Souls’.
Sat 8th – 12pm prayer walk from All Souls’ to St Michael’s.
Sun 9th – Sunday worship.
Summer Music at St Michael’s
Summer Garden Party
Sunday 30th June in Ann Aven’s lovely garden from midday until 3pm. A delicious 2-course lunch with children’s barbecue and swimming for the children!
£20 per person (£40 per family: 2 adults, 2 children) £5 per child. Tickets will be available from 12th May at the church office, or from Verity Spencer and Matthew Cross-Fancy.
Parking available opposite the house.
Thursdays at 10.30am in the Hall. Come and join us for coffee, friendship and lots of varied activities.
Sundays at 5pm in the Hall. For school years 5-8.
